Why Should You Consider a Professional Pet Sitter?
Your pets are most comfortable staying in your home, where
they are familiar with their surroundings.
Your pets' exposure to other animals will be limited, so
they would be less likely to "catch something".
You don't have to worry about dropping your pets off at a
boarding facility, or picking them up. When you get home, they are
there waiting for you.
There is no need to impose on friends, family or neighbors.
If you allow me to keep your key on file, subsequent pet sitting
arrangements can be made over the phone. Last minute arrangements can
also be made, based on availability, should you find yourself working
late one evening, or faced with an emergency. Keys are kept in a locked
cabinet when they are not being used. Your address is NOT placed on the
ID tag, only your last name, and possibly the name of one of your pets.
I have extensive animal experience. I can care for many types
of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, potbelly pigs, ferrets, rabbits, horses, goats,
and other exotic pets.
I can administer medication as directed.
I am available for daily walks, which is especially helpful
when trying to housebreak that new puppy.
In addition to pet care, I am available to bring in the mail and
newspaper, turn lights on/off, water plants, take out the trash, and perform other
household duties, as directed. This helps to give your home a "lived in"
look which may deter burglars casing the area.
Hiring a professional pet sitter can be very cost advantageous when
multiple pets are involved, since visits are paid for in 30 minute
increments, rather than per pet. You may find that other sitters charge
extra when you have more than 2 pets, or may charge extra to administer
medication. I do not do this.
